Initially I approached photography as purely a hobby, and then incorporated it into print, web and product design. Shortly after that I began shooting portraits, products and finally weddings. Interestingly using photography as an income source has increased my appreciation of it as an art form.
Weddings can be a tremendous challenge for a photographer, both in endurance and creativity. ‘Infiltrating’ the wedding party, essentially becoming a guest, is how I best capture the mood and individual personalities on the fly. Starting at the reversal dinner and shooting through the weekend gives a unique record of events.
